Honestly: what we don't do
- In rain and on a wet roof a thermal camera shows almost nothing — we'll pick a dry day.
- We only go up where it is safe and where the building owner has given permission.
- We show the wet zones and where water gets in. The exact size of the damage is only clear once it is opened up.

How much does it cost?

How does a thermal camera show a leak?
Wet insulation warms up and cools down more slowly than dry insulation. After a sunny day, or with the heating on, the roof starts to cool while the wet spots still hold their heat — in the image they appear as an area of a different temperature. We look from above along the roof and from below, inside the rooms: water gets in at one point and drips at another, and it is the point where it gets in that we need.
When is the best time to come?
We need a difference in temperature, so the best time is the evening after a sunny day, or days when the heating is on. The roof itself should be dry: a day or two after rain. We'll suggest a suitable time during the call.
Do you do the repair?
We find the leak and show it to you. The repair is separate work and can be discussed on its own.
What do I get?
Images of the roof with the wet zones marked, and a plain explanation: where to repair and what to do first.
What if the roof is pitched?
We'll look at that too, but on a pitched roof the damage is more often visible to the eye. Describe what is happening and we'll say whether a visit is worth it.
